Defamation of character cases are what most people learn when they are around their eighth grade; in fact, the terms libel and slander are more usually used for the term however the meaning in essentiality remains the same. No matter how much you may have entertained the idea at the time though, defamation is truly a very serious business. Being able to affect anyone, no matter how powerful or famous in the most adverse ways imaginable, defamation of character can get pretty tough on the nerves.
